At the Pilates Loft we offer the Pilates Method and Pilates inspired Athletic Conditioning on the Reformer. All our formats utilize the STOTT PILATES® basic principles. Our trainers know that just because you’re on a reformer doesn’t necessarily mean you are doing Pilates. Our fitness formats are complementary to the Pilates formats and available in one studio with one membership. There is no additional pricing for Pilates Reformer. Class size is up to 8 people to ensure that classes are delivered effectively and safely.

Class Descriptions

Pilates Reformer

This is a mixed level Pilates reformer class that offers a combination of essential, intermediate, and occasionally advanced Pilates repertoire using the Cadillac of Pilates reformers: the V2Max Plus™ Reformer. This class encourages the participant to work at the level that is appropriate for them, yet also challenging for them. This class flows at a moderate pace, using your knowledge of the STOTT PILATES Principles and essential exercises, instructors will encourage participants to find the right level for them in that moment. Instructors may use the tower while on the reformer and offer progressions or modifications on an individual basis, if needed. Learn More about Mixed Reformer Pilates Classes

Pilates Tower

The Tower is an apparatus that is attached to the V2 Max Plus™ Reformer, but offers a more stable surface than the reformer. Individuals will sit, stand or lie down on the table and work with resistance springs that are attached to a Tower. In addition, the pulleys travel up and down on the vertical frame giving variable angles of resistance. This class is designed to build strength, flexibility and muscular endurance. This class includes use of the Roll Down Bar, Push-Through Bar, Leg Springs, Arm Springs, Mat exercises, and small props.

Pilates Athletic Conditioning

Pilates Athletic Conditioning is a way to take your ability to the next level in this muscular conditioning class using Pilates Repertoire. Improve strength, power and agility through new variations of familiar exercises that challenge unilateral movement, weight transference and core stability. This class has a special focus on the core, arms, legs, shoulders and hips as well as rotation. Take a class on the reformer rooted in Pilates that is designed for sports enthusiasts of any level.

Group Pilates Assessment

Check your GPA! Group Pilates classes can be great for those who have an understanding of the Pilates principles. Beginner exercises that once felt impossible become manageable. Pilates Principles are the key to making improvements and progressing into your practice. If you’re improving, you can initiate movements from deeper connections, move with more precision, control, and less compensation. This workshop/class will take you through some intermediate and advanced exercises so you feel how much you have progressed and find out which principles need more attention.

Strength Reformer

This is NOT the Pilates method. Just because you are using a reformer does not mean that you are doing Pilates. Strength Reformer is an athletic conditioning class that takes principles from the Pilates method and applies it to strength training while using the reformer. This class is a FUN, music driven, Pilates inspired workout. The focus is muscular endurance, while maintaining good form, that will lead to progressive fatigue. Using time under tension the intensity is upped in this mindful, yet challenging format. This type of strength training is a perfect complement to balance your Pilates practice.

Stronger By The Minute

Enjoy this full body strength workout using dumbbells, bands, balls, and gliders. 1 move 1 minute, repetitive to fatigue. It is appropriate for all levels. This class is beat driven and timed. 45 minutes will be over before you know it! Emphasis will be on form and endurance.

Cardio-Tramp® Rebounder

Discover how to combine progressive plyometric intervals, varying both in length and intensity, with muscular strength and endurance moves on the vertical mini trampoline. This stimulates both cardiovascular and muscular effectiveness, and is ideal for both the recreational and professional athlete. This class features non-traditional Pilates exercises that use the incredible diversity of the Reformer to effectively train both concentric and eccentric muscular ability.

Advanced Reformer

Advanced Reformer is a fast-paced advanced repertoire class. Modifications will not be offered like they are in Pilates Reformer. You should be highly conditioned, understand your limitations, be able to follow directions in a split second and be ready to work. This is not for everyone. If you have an injury or a limitation, this is not your class. For safety reasons approval for this class is required. Learn more about Advanced Reformer Pilates Classes.

Barre Fusion

Our trainers integrate elements of Pilates, dance, and strength. This total body workout performs small movements that improve your balance, flexibility, and stability, burns fat and builds strength. This is a beat driven class sure to test your endurance. All levels are welcome. No prerequisites are required.

Fascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue that binds us together! This also deserves some attention. When connective tissue is free to move the muscles and joints they surround begin to move with more agility, control, and precision. Use blocks for deep release, or flex bands, domes, massage rollers, and more. Using the breath to release tension in the body will hydrate the fascia and allow your posture to improve and pain to diminish. Let the healing begin.
