The Pilates-Longevity Connection Is Connection!
Proud Pilates studio owner reads a recent study, and identifies the very social connection her studio was founded on.
In a recent article from Arizona State University, they talked about the connection between Pilates and longevity. And while the physical benefits are obvious, they also mentioned:
And when taken in a class, there’s a social component. We know that social connection is enormously protective for longevity. So you’re potentially getting physical activity, stress management and community all wrapped into one practice.
Pam, owner and instructor at the Pilates Loft in Mendota Heights said “HEY WE DO THAT!” When the studio was opened three years ago the hope was to create a Pilates home for people to meet other people, work out the kinks that life throws at us, try to have a little fun, and encourage mindful movement in the studio and out of the studio.
Every instructor at the Pilates Loft had all previously worked together and wanted to create a space to achieve exactly what this Arizona state study mentioned. The Loft instructors having a combined experience of 40+ years teaching and have seen the benefits, not only of the physical activity but of the value of finding a place away from home that is physically and mentally rewarding. This team checks all the boxes and it makes the owner SO PROUD! Pam says, “I am really proud of their authenticity, professionalism, humor, and the intelligence the studio provides to members, proud of our certified instructors knowledge and ability to relate to other people. And each instructor is proud of our members for returning time and again and staying with us.”
Having a team that understands that the they work when other people don’t, day in and day out, is something pretty special.
It almost feels like lightning in a bottle.
