Why One-on-One Pilates Sessions?
Understanding the equipment
One-on-one Pilates sessions will be tailored to meet you where you are and give you level-appropriate exercises, because Pilates is not a one-size-fits-all program. In a one-on-one session, you will understand the spring settings, box settings, strap settings, head rest position, gear bar and carriage stopper settings, and your body will have the advantage because you will understand when your posture is ideal. You will learn when and how to modify in a group setting, which will help you avoid injury and prevent yourself from forming bad habits.
Understand what you’re doing
Anyone can make the reformer move, but are you using the correct posture and correct muscle engagement? We can go on auto pilot all day and never focus on which muscles we are using. One-on-one sessions will help you understand how to connect to the muscle through using your breath and correct form.
Individualized attention to your body posture
If you are looking for an individualized program, are recovering from an injury, or are wanting to deepen your Pilates understanding and practice, scheduling a one-on-one is the best way to get the most out of Pilates. You will be monitored and receive individualized correction.
Progress Faster
You will likely progress faster because you receive the individual attention that you do not receive in a group setting. The awareness about which muscles to use and how to avoid muscling through, or compensating through, the repertoire will work to your advantage in not only group classes, but in all forms of activity.
Pilates makes just about everything better because it makes your framework stronger.
